Job Overview:
A respected personal injury law firm is actively seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Connecticut litigation team. This position involves managing a full caseload of personal injury matters, including auto and premises liability cases. Location:

  • Stamford, Connecticut

Duties:

  • Handle litigation of personal injury cases including automobile and premises liability matters

  • Collaborate with clients, team members, and partners to gather factual and medical evidence

  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and court filings for state and federal courts

  • Argue discovery motions and other court proceedings

  • Manage the court approval process for wrongful death and minor cases

  • Oversee the preparation of cases for pre-litigation, litigation, and settlement stages

  • Track service of process and ensure compliance with statutes of limitations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in personal injury law

  • Must be admitted to practice in Connecticut

  • Must demonstrate a compassionate and client-focused approach

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively as part of a legal team

  • High level of accountability and detail orientation

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with legal technology tools

  • Additional bar admissions in NY, PA, OH, or WV are a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license and in good standing with the Connecticut Bar

  • Bar admission in additional states is advantageous

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities

  • Superior organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated success in pre-trial and trial litigation

  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally within the firm’s structure
