Workers Compensation Paralegal Duties: The candidate will perform high-quality billable work and record time in accordance with client/firm policy. Conduct case research and investigation. Collect, analyze and summarize medical and other related records. Manage collection, organization, and production of electronic documents. Prepare and manage hearing exhibits. Draft discovery and subpoenas. Work with expert consultants and witnesses. Assist multiple attorneys through all phases of litigation or administrative proceedings. Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Analyze medical records in order to identify facts and information critical to developing a defense plan.

Qualifications: A College degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate or equivalent experience. Must have 3 years of experience in the area of workers compensation defense with either a college degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate or experience equivalent. Strong knowledge and experience with records collection and discovery is a must, as well as knowledge accessing and reviewing court dockets and navigating the West Virginia Workers Compensation Board of Review and Office of Judges. Should also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized and have strong technical and database skills. Must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
