Job Title: Lead Premises Security Defense Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices to contribute to a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Independently manage a litigation caseload as part of a team, handling cases from beginning to end.
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in California.
- Over 10 years of experience in insurance defense, premises liability, catastrophic loss, and general liability.
- Experience in negligent security is a plus.
- Trial experience is necessary.
- Experience with dispositive motion practice.
- Superior analytical skills are required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Experience in legal project management is helpful.
Salary Information:
- The pay range for this position is $190,000 - $245,000 USD.
- A variety of factors, including experience, education, licensure, certifications, geographic location, market demands, and other business and organizational needs, are considered when making compensation decisions.
- The position is eligible for discretionary bonuses.
- This full-time position qualifies for benefits such as a 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
