Job Title: Conflicts Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Conflicts Analyst plays a critical role within the law firm's Office of the General Counsel. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing standard conflicts reports related to incoming attorneys and new client business. Key responsibilities include:
- Communicating with attorneys and staff regarding conflict check results, addressing any missing information from the request form, and confirming the requirements for the conflicts check with the requesting attorney or secretary.
- Updating data in the conflicts databases as necessary and conducting corporate research using internal and external information resources to ensure the accuracy of information.
- Obtaining guidance from attorneys or other Conflicts staff to properly evaluate conflicts checks, which may involve lateral candidates, potential clients, or potential adverse parties.
- Conducting research on corporate entities subject to conflicts review using various electronic databases, the Internet, and print sources.
- Analyzing and responding to attorneys’ feedback concerning potential or actual conflicts.
- Protecting and maintaining highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information retained by the law firm.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Conflicts Analyst position should meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred; however, a minimum of four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of three years of demonstrated work experience involving professional interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, project management, and independent work capability.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience with Intapp Open software is preferred.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Conflicts Analyst position is between USD $75, and USD $95, per year. In addition to the base salary, successful candidates will be provided with a comprehensive compensation package, including bonuses awarded for individual and firm performance.
