Job Title: Immigration Senior Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Immigration Senior Paralegal at the law firm is responsible for assisting attorneys, account managers, and case managers in the preparation and filing of both nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions. This position requires a substantive understanding of immigration law and processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation and filing of a wide range of immigrant and non-immigrant petitions such as PERM cases, I-140 EB-1/2/3, AOS, H-1B, L-1, E-1/2/3, O-1, J-1, etc.
- Engaging in written and oral communication with clients to gather necessary information and documents required for petitions and applications.
- Keeping clients informed of the progress of their cases.
- Responding to immigration inquiries in a timely manner.
- Entering, updating, and maintaining data in the immigration case management system.
- Managing caseload and ensuring the timely completion of work.
- Tracking and managing critical deadlines.
- Running active case workload and client NIV expiration reports in the immigration case management system.
- Attending team meetings and continuing educational programs/seminars.
- Entering and closing time entries in the firm's time recording system.
- Applying understanding of legal and ethical principles that guide paralegal conduct, including but not limited to the unauthorized practice of law, confidentiality and attorney-client privilege, conflicts of interest, and GDPR compliance.
Education and Experience:
- A is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of business immigration experience and strong writing skills are necessary.
- Experience with I-140 EB-1, O-1 petitions, and PERM applications is preferred.

Salary Information:
For positions in Washington, DC, the salary range for this position is $72, - $115,. The base salary or hourly wage range will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package, which may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, such as 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits (including vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the law firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
