Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Drafting complaints and legal documents essential for litigation processes.
- Responding to and propounding discovery, including managing the exchange of information between parties involved in legal cases.
- Drafting subpoenas and objecting to subpoenas to ensure compliance with legal standards and protect clients' interests.
- Managing expert discovery, which involves the identification, preparation, and communication with expert witnesses.
- Preparing for depositions by organizing documents, coordinating schedules, and assisting attorneys with deposition strategies.
- Assisting in trial preparation, including the organization of trial exhibits, witness lists, and other necessary documentation.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher is required for this position.
- While paralegal certification is preferred, it is not mandatory.
- The candidate should have at least 2+ years of litigation experience, specifically with tasks involving propounding and responding to discovery.
- A minimum of 1+ year(s) of experience in expert discovery and trial preparation is necessary.
- Experience in personal injury law, whether on the plaintiff or defense side, for at least 2+ years is required.
- Proficiency in understanding statutory deadlines is essential.
- The candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working both as a team leader and a team player.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is considered a plus, although not a requirement.
Salary Information:
- The hourly wage for this position ranges from $28 to $38.
