Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience as a civil litigation legal assistant or legal secretary in a fast-paced law firm (personal injury experience preferred)
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to hit the ground running
- Experience with case intake and opening
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and ensure attorneys meet them
- Familiarity with filing and service in California superior, federal, and appellate courts
- Knowledge of rules related to service and filing of pleadings and discovery
- Understanding of the expert designation and deposition process
- Comfortable with client and insurance carrier contact via email and phone
- Trial preparation experience, including preparation, service, and filing of trial documents, motions in limine, and exhibit binders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

This is not a paralegal hybrid role.
