Job Title: Contracts Specialist - USDS
Job Responsibilities:
As a Contracts Specialist within the company's Legal & Compliance department, the candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with legal and company policies. The position involves assisting with contract execution, managing daily operations, and facilitating effective communication across the organization. Under the supervision of the legal team, the specialist will support decision-making processes, drive efficiency, and address complex challenges in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include managing the contract lifecycle, drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, and maintaining contract management processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk. The specialist will also conduct legal research, prepare presentations and training materials, define and track key metrics, and provide guidance on contractual obligations and risks. Building strong relationships with business partners and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements are also essential duties. The role requires tracking contract terms and obligations to support ongoing operations.
Education and Experience Information:
Minimum qualifications for the role include excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with at least 3 years of contract and compliance management experience in-house or at a large law firm. A strong understanding of commercial contract terms is necessary, along with a BA/BS degree or Paralegal Certificate. The ability to work independently and in teams, manage projects with competing timelines, and experience with tech or media companies and data security compliance are required. Familiarity with contract management software and workflow tools is also essential. Preferred qualifications include strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to manage processes with minimal supervision, a strong bias for action, and comfort with technology.
Salary Information:
For pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is between $88,000 and $151,111 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. The role may also be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits include access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees receive 10 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days, and 17 days of paid personal time annually, with increasing accruals based on tenure. The company reserves the right to modify these benefits programs at any time.
