Job Title: Ebilling Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
As an Ebilling Specialist at the law firm, you will be a crucial member of the support team within both the Legal Support Services and Accounting teams, providing effective and streamlined e-Billing support to billing attorneys and finance counterparts of the firm. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing a variety of tasks to support the full eBilling cycle.
- Reviewing new eBilled matters and rates for submission to clients.
- Following up frequently on open items until resolution and escalating as necessary.
- Fielding eBilling inquiries with strong attention to detail.
- Gathering and submitting the required documentation to onboard new eBilling clients, including submitting the first invoice to ensure successful submission.
- Researching and resolving electronic billing rejections related to technical and format issues versus billing-related issues, initiating troubleshooting support and escalations when needed.
- Maintaining client account assignments.
- Reviewing, updating, and documenting outside billing guidelines on assigned eBilled clients.
- Ensuring all tasks for assigned clients are entered in the billing and eBilling system according to the firm and client guidelines.
- Acting as the subject matter expert on assigned clients.
- Assisting the team with projects and e-bill tasks as needed.
- Updating restrictions on time entry according to guidelines in the time entry program (Intapp Terms).
- Tracking and resolving tickets assigned by the eBilling service desk daily, meeting SLAs.
- Managing workflow by developing and utilizing best practices, prioritizing work duties effectively, and making practical use of all resources available to complete work.
- Maintaining weekly updated notes on new matters and new implementations.
- Liaising with internal support teams to develop learning and experience for taking on more complex client assignments.
- Performing projects and other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
Minimum Years of Experience:
- 3 years of prior experience in legal e-billing, law firm administration roles, or comparable professional service-oriented hourly billing, or formal training/certifications in legal back-office operations

- Eagerness to develop and achieve scope and requirements for advanced roles and responsibilities.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel and accounting systems, Aderant, Billblast, and eBilling vendor sites preferred.
Salary Information:
The expected hiring range for this position is - per hour, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and include paid overtime in accordance with applicable laws. Compensation will also depend on factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. A comprehensive package of benefits is offered, including medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Environment:
- The position offers the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement comprised of remote and in-office work, determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified at the firm’s discretion in the future.
