Senior Litigation Paralegal The candidate will prepare and finalize pleadings in accordance with applicable state and federal rules for filing with court. Will draft written discovery, subpoenas, and disclosure statements. File management, including document retrieval, review, organization, and production. Maintain case pleadings, correspondence, discovery, ESI, and research for large volume cases. Cite-check and edit legal documents. Assist with discovery, including preparing exhibits for depositions. Conduct legal research and write concise memoranda to summarize results. Organize and prepare exhibit lists and/or privilege logs. Coordinate work with outside document/litigation vendors, including managing deadlines. Coordinate and assist with trial preparations, ., exhibits, witness binders, and demonstratives. Assist with trial site preparation and attend trials. Assist with case docketing, including court and discovery deadlines. Maintain confidentiality of client information.
The candidate must have 7+ years experience, at least five of which must have been in commercial litigation (which is not intended to include other types of litigation, such as personal injury litigation, products liability litigation, or insurance defense litigation). Should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with CM/ECF, Pacer, ECR Online and Arizona Turbocourt is required. Must have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Trial experience is required. Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and the ability to conduct internet research. Paralegal certificate, Bachelor's degree or an equivalent amount of experience required.
