Job Title: Legal Assistant - Insurance Defense

Job Responsibilities:
As a legal assistant in the department, you will be responsible for handling complex tasks that are crucial to the success of the law offices. The role requires providing administrative support to attorneys, which involves the preparation of legal documents and correspondences, such as motions and pleadings. You will be using an electronic case management system to manage attorney calendars, coordinate examinations for defense experts, and communicate with clients. Other responsibilities include maintaining files, answering phone calls, and propounding discovery, including serving client discovery alongside other administrative duties. A significant portion of this role focuses on scheduling and re-scheduling depositions for attorneys.

Education and Experience Information:
Must-have qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or GED equivalent or higher, along with one year of prior legal work experience in a business or legal environment supporting a professional team. Preferred skills include having two years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury working in a law firm, strong time management and organizational skills necessary to support a large group of professionals, proficient typing skills with a focus on grammar and accuracy, and the ability to work independently while maintaining highly confidential information.

Salary Information:
The compensation for this position ranges from to per hour, depending on experience and location. Additionally, there is a Gainshare bonus available, which can be up to 16% of eligible earnings based on company performance.
