Job Title: Legal Secretary/Administrative Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Open and organize legal files and conduct conflict checks to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Maintain attorney calendars, ensuring all appointments, meetings, and deadlines are accurately recorded and managed.
- Submit all client and firm-related expenses, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with firm policies.
- Transcribe documents from dictation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal formatting standards.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, emailing, answering phones, and processing mail to support the efficient operation of the department.
- Utilize document management systems to organize and retrieve documents efficiently.
Education and Experience Information:
- The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in Litigation and/or Workers Compensation law.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Document Management Systems is required.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are necessary.
- The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively with a team is essential.
