Job Title: Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and legal assistance to attorneys, ensuring efficient workflow and support.
- Maintain attorneys’ calendars, scheduling appointments, meetings, and court dates to ensure effective time management.
- Prepare documents for filing with the Court or mailing to other parties, ensuring compliance with legal standards and protocols.
- Proofread documents drafted by attorneys to ensure accuracy and adherence to legal terminology and formatting.
- Draft simple and routine pleadings and other legal documents for attorney review, facilitating the legal process.
- Maintain client files, ensuring confidentiality and organization for easy retrieval and reference.
- Prepare files for attorneys for hearings and trials, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
- Assist attorneys in preparing documents during the disclosure and discovery phase of pretrial litigation, supporting case development.
- Communicate with clients and opposing counsel through calls and emails, maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
- Assist the receptionist with incoming phone calls as needed, providing support to ensure seamless office operations.

Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
- Graduation from a legal assistant/paralegal program or completion of a legal assistant/paralegal certificate.
- At least one year of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, demonstrating practical knowledge and skills in the field.

Salary Information:
- Compensation is based on hourly rates, which vary according to the candidate’s experience and skill set.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
