Job Title: Social Security Disability Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize the Case Management Software to communicate with attorneys and clients and manage all aspects of cases
- Ensure clients are comfortable and informed about the status of their claim, guiding them through the claims process
- Complete intakes with prospective clients to assess case strength
- Work with attorneys to develop case strategies and interface with clients to obtain evidence
- Independently identify and obtain medical evidence to support claims
- Communicate effectively with clients and respond to inquiries within 48 business hours, depending on urgency
- Assist clients with paperwork and ensure that the Social Security Administration (SSA) receives requested information timely
- Communicate with Social Security offices and handle time-sensitive issues related to Social Security hearings
- Maintain comprehensive and meticulous notes about case actions within the case management software for team collaboration
- Be willing to take on additional tasks and request support when needed
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Social Security Disability cases with a law firm as a legal assistant or paralegal
- Direct experience with the Social Security Administration (SSA)/SSD for at least 2 years is required
Salary Information:
- The salary range is $40,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
