Job Title: Employment Law Attorney with ERISA Experience
Job Responsibilities:
Legal Counsel and Compliance:
- Provide expert legal counsel on employee benefits and compliance issues.
- Navigate the complexities of ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act).
- Offer guidance on ERISA compliance, employee benefits plans, fiduciary responsibilities, and related regulations.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution:
- Represent clients in ERISA litigation, ensuring effective legal defense and resolution of disputes.
Policy Development:
- Assist clients in developing ERISA-compliant policies, ensuring they adhere to legal standards and best practices.
Transactions and Due Diligence:
- Conduct due diligence on employee benefit plans during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Advise on potential risks, liabilities, and compliance issues related to employee benefits in corporate restructuring.
Education and Experience Information:
- Significant experience in employment law, with a strong focus on ERISA and employee benefits.
- Demonstrated experience in ERISA compliance, fiduciary responsibilities, and benefits plan litigation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgment and adherence to high ethical standards.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in any city where the law firm has an office or ability to be admitted by motion in that state.
