Job Title: Conflicts Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Conflicts Analyst is an integral part of the law firm's Office of the General Counsel team. The primary responsibilities include preparing and analyzing standard conflicts reports for incoming attorneys and new client business. The analyst is responsible for analyzing standard new business and lateral conflicts checks, such as advisory, NDAs, transactional checks, and others. Key duties also involve:
- Communicating with attorneys and staff regarding conflict check results, missing information from the request form, and validating the requirements for the conflicts check with the attorney or secretary requesting the report.
- Updating data in the conflicts databases as necessary and conducting corporate research using internal and external information resources to confirm the accuracy of the information.
- Obtaining necessary guidance from attorneys or other Conflicts staff to understand the requirements to properly evaluate the conflicts check (lateral candidate, potential client, potential adverse party, etc.).
- Conducting research regarding corporate entities that are subject to conflicts review using a variety of electronic databases, the Internet, and print sources.
- Analyzing and replying to attorneys’ responses concerning any potential or actual conflict.
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that the law firm retains.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Additionally, the role requires:
- A minimum of three years of demonstrated work experience involving professional interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and the ability to work independently.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience with Intapp Open software is also preferred.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Conflicts Analyst position is between USD $75, to USD $95, per year. The law firm offers a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
