Position: Line Attorney for Public Trust and Police Integrity Unit

Salary: Commensurate with experience

About the Position:
- Line attorney responsible for managing cases and investigations related to law enforcement misconduct
- Reports directly to the division chief of the Public Trust and Police Integrity Unit (PTPIU)
- Work with various law enforcement agencies and respond to scenes for police-involved shootings or other incidents
- Review evidence and present cases to a grand jury
- Prepare and prosecute cases for trial in District and Circuit Courts for Baltimore City
- Draft internal memorandums summarizing investigations and make recommendations for declination or prosecution
Qualifications:
- Juris doctor degree and licensed to practice in Maryland
- Court and jury trial experience, with a preference for felony trial experience
- Ability to handle a high-volume workload and meet deadlines
