Corporate Counsel – Transactions & Regulatory Affairs

Job Responsibilities
The Corporate Counsel – Transactions & Regulatory Affairs is responsible for managing all aspects of spectrum transaction processing at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This includes the preparation, review, and revision of public interest statements, exhibits, maps, and related materials. The role offers a variety of regulatory support functions for an active transactional portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, revising, and managing applications for spectrum transactions at the FCC.
- Serving as a trusted advisor for internal business clients across multiple cross-functional teams, particularly with Corporate Development, engineering, and mapping experts.
- Reviewing FCC filings of the company and other licensees, including entries in the Universal Licensing System and Broadband Data Collection portals.
- Driving departmental initiatives, including the development or redesign of legal support processes and templates to enhance efficiency and better align with business needs.
- Drafting, revising, and managing FCC pleadings concerning public safety and disabilities access matters, including supervision of outside counsel.
- Managing regulatory reports and filings necessary to comply with Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC), Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS), and other federal reporting obligations.

Education and Experience Information
- A law degree from an accredited law school and current bar membership (in good standing) in the applicable jurisdiction is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an FCC, DOJ, corporate, or transactional attorney is necessary.
- Telecommunications knowledge or experience in FCC regulatory matters is essential.
- A technical background, including engineering or computer science, is considered an advantage.
- Superb written and oral communication skills are required.
- Computer programming skills are a plus.

Salary Information
The base pay range for this position is $123,200 - $222,200. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience, and will vary within this range. The position includes a corporate bonus target of 15%.
