Technology Transactions Junior Associate
Job Title: Technology Transactions Junior Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- Work on enterprise technology transactions, including strategic information technology and business process outsourcing, ERP licensing and implementation, software licensing, and Software as a Service Agreements.
- Engage in commercial transactions or corporate transactional matters such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, or intellectual property licensing with a willingness to transition to a technology transaction practice.
- Draft and negotiate a variety of complex technology, intellectual property, and data-related commercial contracts.
- Articulate complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders with excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
- Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of experience at a large law firm in technology transactions or corporate transactional matters.
- Strong understanding of technology, intellectual property, and data privacy laws.
- Interest or experience in artificial intelligence and quantum computing is considered a plus.
- Must be barred in a jurisdiction where the law firm currently has a . office location, with a preference for candidates barred in Georgia, Illinois, Texas, or Massachusetts.
Salary Information:
- The position may be filled in Illinois, with a pay range of $235,000 - $260,000 per year, in accordance with applicable Pay Transparency Laws. This range may vary for other locations.
- Actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
Additional Information:
- The candidate must reside and be barred in a jurisdiction where the law firm has a . office.
- Ideal candidates will be located in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or Boston, but candidates in other offices will also be considered.
