Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal is a critical member of the Global Legal team at the company, responsible for supporting the company's innovative initiatives and state-of-the-art products by providing integrated legal guidance and support. This role involves working closely with in-house litigation counsel and the e-discovery team on various litigation and pre-litigation matters across the countries where the platform operates. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the legal hold process for global litigation and regulatory matters.
- Serving as a liaison between the legal team, security, engineering, IT personnel, system admins, records management personnel, and outside counsel and vendors.
- Coordinating case management tasks to ensure compliance with litigation holds, protective orders, and e-discovery requirements.
- Supporting attorneys in managing the discovery process, including assisting with custodian interviews, document collection, and collaborating with outside counsel and e-discovery teams for processing and production.
- Overseeing and tracking physical and digital correspondence related to legal matters, ensuring items are routed to appropriate teams and stakeholders.
- Researching and organizing factual information and technical data.
- Producing and maintaining reporting metrics on litigation, pre-litigation, and regulatory matters.
- Tracking matter deadlines, updating dockets, and maintaining a litigation calendar.
- Collaborating with the Legal Operations team to ensure smooth workflow and system updates.
- Assisting in implementing and optimizing internal processes and creating standard operating procedures for the litigation team.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Litigation Paralegal position should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
- A BA/BS degree or Paralegal Certificate is strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with document review technology and workflow.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage diverse tasks and varied workloads, prioritize effectively, and learn new technologies.
- Knowledge of the litigation process, discovery procedures, and electronic data collection and production.
- Cultural awareness and the ability to work in a diverse environment of different cultures, backgrounds, and orientations.
- Preferred qualifications include end user and administrator understanding of eDiscovery technology, with specific experience with Exterro being a plus.
Salary Information:
For pay transparency, the base salary range for the Litigation Paralegal position in the selected city is $88,000 to $151,111 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may also be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
