Job Title: Associate Counsel, Claim
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply trial skills through handling cases of lower complexity.
- Conduct legal research and demonstrate effective legal writing and presentation skills.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other file documents under supervision.
- Attend court events and other appointments with or under the supervision of experienced counsel.
- Learn and understand the expectations of claim customers and assist in meeting department business goals.
- Manage a reduced, lower complexity caseload.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
- Provide recommendations and case analysis on appropriate file handling strategies.
- Utilize support staff effectively in line with office protocols and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships.
- Adhere to best practices in file management.
- Utilize available technology, case management systems, and automation tools.
- Travel as required to meet business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Active license in good standing to practice law in the state(s) where representation is required.
- Valid driver’s license required depending on the location.

Salary Information:
- The annual base salary range is $83, – $137,. The actual salary will depend on factors such as the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
