Zwicker & Associates, ., a national creditor rights law firm, is currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team and provide litigation support for our office in Duluth, GA. We are looking for a motivated candidate with exemplary organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal documents, analyzing and processing data, and providing administrative support.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and process data to ensure proper work flow
• Provide high-level legal and office management support
• Utilize internal software to update and document account status
• Prepare documentation for attorney review
• File pleadings with state-specific court filing systems
• Answer incoming calls and communicate effectively with team members and outside parties
• Comply with standard operating procedures
• Ensure quality and quantity of work
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and professionalism
• Knowledge of civil litigation procedure, evidence rules, and e-filing process preferred
• Previous administrative experience in a law firm, financial institution, or bank preferred
• Debt collection and/or litigation experience preferred
Physical Qualifications:
• Ability to lift five pounds or more
• Ability to sit for 90% of work day
• Ability to bend and be mobile when needed
• Ability to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
• Ability to work a flexible 40-hour schedule
