Job Title: Litigation Legal Secretary
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate attorney schedules, meetings, depositions, court appearances, and travel.
- Assist in the preparation and finalization of legal documents, ensuring timely task completion.
- File documents electronically with state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Coordinate and schedule couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses, and other essential services.
- Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic, and manage case calendars and deadlines.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail according to office procedures and attorney preferences.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as time entry, expense reporting, and billing.
- Complete and submit conflict checks and new client matter forms.
- Maintain good public relations and diplomacy with clients while observing confidentiality of the attorney-client relationship.
- Additional duties as assigned, including assisting other secretaries as needed.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of law firm litigation secretary or assistant experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state court filing procedures, including e-filing requirements.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with document management systems and time entry software.
- Proven track record of reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Superior attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong client focus.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and anticipate attorney needs.
- Experience supporting a minimum of three attorneys, including partner-level attorneys.
Salary Information:
- Salary range: $80,000 - $92,000
