Job Title:
Sr. Counsel - US Financial Services

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of existing commercial agreements and draft and negotiate new agreements with customers.
- Anticipate and protect the company against risk exposure.
- Advise stakeholders on the status of agreement negotiations and exhibit a willingness to learn.
- Manage and mentor one or more team members.
- Make impactful legal decisions and business recommendations for the company.
- Advise internal clients on legal and business issues and the implications of alternative positions to enable informed business decisions.
- Maintain primary responsibility for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting complex contracts and related documents.
- Provide advice to stakeholders regarding changes in the law, contracts, or other legal issues that may affect the company's strategic operations.
- Keep abreast of current legislative and regulatory developments impacting operations.
- Assist other attorneys on various matters, including those presenting potential for litigation.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of company-related business.
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of pertinent developments within areas of assigned responsibilities.
- Provide formal and informal training for internal clients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Adhere to company policies, sound judgment, trustworthiness, communicate respectfully, and safeguard business operations and confidential information.
- Work safely and contribute to the company's reputation.
- This position involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually and in-person at an assigned office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required.
- 5 years plus of experience as a practicing attorney (in-house or law firm) focused on consumer financial services.
- Preferred experience includes advising clients and negotiating master services, data, and technology licensing agreements in a regulated environment.
- A strong regulatory compliance background is also preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of FCRA, GLBA, privacy, technology, and intellectual property law are preferred, but not required.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage and handle a significant and diverse workflow effectively and timely.
- Ability to work independently while exhibiting sound judgment in seeking guidance and direction from senior attorneys and escalating issues.
- Ability to read, interpret, and advise business partners on complex documents, including laws, contracts, business documents, system documents, company policies, and procedures.
- Executive-level written and oral communication skills and advocacy experience.
- Ability to build and foster strong relationships with peers, staff, and management at all levels of the organization.

Salary Information:
The . base salary range for this position is $112, - $187,500 annually. The salary range reflects a reasonable estimate of compensation for this job. Actual compensation is based on individual factors such as education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, industry knowledge, scope, and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations. Regular, full-time non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in the company's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may also be eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
