Job Title: Case Development Intake Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
The Case Development Intake Attorney is responsible for managing a docket of approximately 50 cases, working closely with a case manager to investigate, preserve evidence, and develop medical and triage assigned cases. Key duties include securing accident reports, property damage photos, investigating and photographing scenes, sending letters of representation, and handling open record act requests. The attorney must order lifetime driving records, obtain witness statements, and perform criminal and social media investigations on clients and adverse parties. Additionally, they assist clients in developing medical damages and handle property damage claims. Effective communication with clients and adjusters is critical, as well as preparing and approving expense requests, preparing monthly status reports for clients, and submitting case reviews to aid in evaluating cases. The attorney will manage clients during the case development intake process and prepare files for transfer to the litigation team. In some instances, the attorney will prepare and document demands and act as a liaison between management and adverse adjusters to settle certain cases.

Essential job functions include:
- Intake function
- Investigating and developing commercial cases
- Accepting incoming calls from potential new clients (PNCs)
- Ascertain relevant facts and discuss all aspects of PNC’s claims
- Secure authorization to sign up, decline, or further evaluate claims
- Explain attorney-client contract
- Sign up cases in and out of the office
- Cover on a rotational basis
- Handle after-hours PNC calls and secure new client sign-ups in office, in person, out of office, and/or via DocuSign
- Send status letters: One letter per client/month minimum to update client on status of matter
- Conduct client meetings and address/return all client calls by end of business day
- Handle out-of-office sign-ups and after-hours on-call duties
- Ensure 100% compliance on grade cards
- Ensure ethical and legal obligations of all subordinates
- Maximize case values and attorney fees recovered
- Additional projects as assigned

Competencies:
The attorney must possess strong initiative, excellent management and leadership skills, and be detail-oriented. Effective communication and delegation skills are essential, along with customer service and emotional intelligence. A high energy motivator with sales skills to relate the unique features and benefits of the law firm is preferred. The ability to multitask, manage time, and organize and prioritize work is necessary. The attorney must motivate and energize support staff to generate the best results for clients and the organization. Approachability and professionalism in communication with employees are crucial. Legal research and analysis skills are required, and being bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Education & Experience:
The candidate must have a JD and be licensed in Texas in good standing. A 0-3 years of personal injury experience is required, along with a strong commitment to client service and excellent writing skills. Experience working on cross-functional teams and previous customer service/sales experience are preferred. Experience supervising non-attorneys is advantageous. The candidate must have a valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.

Salary Information:
The Case Development Intake Attorney earns an annual salary of $90,000.
