Job Title: eDiscovery Project Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers with client requests and manage the execution of litigation support projects.
- Oversee the full life cycle of projects according to project manager and client parameters, ensuring adherence to recommended practices and firm policies.
- Collaborate with the Client Solutions Manager and Project Managers to ensure legal teams utilize appropriate, innovative, and cost-effective technologies for the discovery process.
- Coordinate data transfer and storage, utilizing firm policies and best practices, and track delivery schedules while managing changes in work scope.
- Participate in post-project analysis to identify workflow inefficiencies and obstacles, applying quality control processes and improvements with the eDiscovery Services team.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training to litigation case teams on effective document review protocols using both firm and vendor technology.
- Coordinate and work with the H&K Review Center and promote the use of litigation technology and practice support services within the firm.
- Manage electronic and paper document discovery, including processing, scanning, coding, review, and productions.
- Ensure expertise in relevant technology, proactively using the most current technology to enhance teamwork, client service, and efficiency.
- Participate in industry organizations to stay current with developments in litigation technology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience Required: 3+ years of professional litigation experience, preferably in a large law firm or strong consulting background.
- Relativity-Certified Administrator preferred, with the firm willing to sponsor RCA certification for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of Relativity, WestLaw Case Notebook, Case Map, TimeMap, and working knowledge of IPRO e-Capture and IPRO.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience with analytics tools like Brainspace and NexLP is a plus, as well as trial presentation experience on Sanction or Trial Director.
Salary Information:
- This position may be filled in Washington or California, with the base salary ranges as follows:
- Washington: $102,000/yr - $153,000/yr
- California: $111,000/yr - $167,000/yr
- An individual's actual compensation will depend on qualifications and experience. In addition to base compensation, the firm provides bonus opportunities and an exceptional benefits package.
