Job Responsibilities:
The Account Manager at the law firm is responsible for managing client account portfolios while extensively interfacing with firm clients, partners, and finance management. The key responsibilities include:

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners, serving as the primary point of contact for billing and finance-related matters.
- Managing the inventory of a portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring compliance with the firm's financial policies and finance department processes.
- Understanding billing structures, commercial terms, fee arrangements, client requirements, and law firm economics to advise and support assigned partners.
- Overseeing accurate and timely billing, tracking receivables, and proactively resolving any issues related to prompt payment.
- Using dashboards and reporting tools to analyze client inventory and financial performance, identifying trends, and developing recommendations to improve outcomes.
- Anticipating and addressing client concerns or disputes, demonstrating resourcefulness and professionalism in resolving challenges.
- Exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrating a commitment to client satisfaction and a proactive approach to enhancing the client experience.
- Handling competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and composure.

Education and Experience Information:
- required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a high volume/dollar, automated, law firm finance role, including billing and collections.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial policies and procedures and the use of both accounting and collections software systems.
- Ability to perform complex financial analysis.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and function as part of a team.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be client service focused.
- Experience with Aderant or other legal finance software required.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.

Salary Information:
The anticipated salary range for the Account Manager position varies by location:

- San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $102,000 - $138,000 per year.
- Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $91,800 - $124,200 per year.
- Salt Lake City and all other locations: $81,600 - $110,400 per year.

The compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. The law firm offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package. Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
