Job Title: Senior Counsel, Open Banking

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Counsel for Open Banking at the company is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support for the Open Banking Americas team. The role involves acting as a legal advisor to the product and sales teams, assisting them in achieving their commercial objectives and strategy. The key responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal and business risk assessments and analyses related to new product constructs, sales agreements, and go-to-market strategies for open banking products in the Americas.
- Advising on the development and launch stages of various solutions and services.
- Structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with various partners in the open banking ecosystem.
- Offering legal advice on a wide range of commercial and contractual matters.
- Collaborating with product and legal teams, including regulatory, compliance, and data privacy, to ensure product constructs and commercial agreements align with business strategy, internal policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Working with internal and external regulatory counsel regarding local laws, government regulations, and directives impacting open banking solutions.
- Building strong relationships with product development, business, and sales teams, and senior management within the company.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Supporting initiatives of the open banking team in the Americas and globally and providing support to international colleagues as needed.
- Managing special projects while handling day-to-day legal matters.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must be US-qualified lawyers with solid transactional training and experience, preferably including both law firm and in-house work experience. Experience in product development and open banking or other regulated products is a specific advantage. Essential skills include:
- Strong drafting and negotiating abilities, with the capacity to simplify complex concepts, issues, technologies, and deal structures.
- Keen business insight and strong communication skills for effective interaction.
- The ability to rapidly learn and understand complex and evolving products and solutions, and to navigate complex legal and regulatory challenges.
- A thorough and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and demands.
- A team player mentality, willing to take on various responsibilities to support the team, department, and company.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, including with global colleagues, while taking direction from managers and other team members when appropriate.

Salary Information:
The compensation for this role is competitive and based on location, experience, and other qualifications. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions, depending on the role. The salary ranges for different locations are as follows:
- Purchase, New York: $187,000 - $300,000 USD
- Arlington, Virginia: $187,000 - $300,000 USD
- Atlanta, Georgia: $163,000 - $261,000 USD
- Boston, Massachusetts: $187,000 - $300,000 USD
- Chicago, Illinois: $163,000 - $261,000 USD
- O'Fallon, Missouri: $163,000 - $261,000 USD
- Salt Lake City, Utah: $163,000 - $261,000 USD
- San Francisco, California: $196,000 - $313,000 USD
- Seattle, Washington: $187,000 - $300,000 USD
