Job Title: Document Services Operator
Job Responsibilities:
- Format, revise, and convert complex legal documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Perform advanced functions such as updating tables of authorities, cross-referencing, defined terms checks, and financial table formatting.
- Create, edit, and reformat PDFs, e-closing binders, presentations, and graphic elements with precision and consistency.
- Troubleshoot document issues and assist users with software questions.
- Ensure all documents meet the law firm's standards for branding, formatting, and functionality.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to understand project requirements and deliver outstanding service under tight deadlines.
Education and Experience Information:
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- At least three years of experience in a legal or financial document processing environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Adobe Acrobat, and familiarity with tools such as Litera, DocXtools, OmniPage, and Power PDF.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent grammar, and the ability to follow complex written instructions.
- A proactive mindset and a commitment to service excellence.
- The ability to work a set weekly schedule: Wednesday to Saturday, 7:30 pm – 5:15 am CT, including an hour break (California-based candidates: Tuesday–Saturday, 9 pm – 5:30 am CT).
Salary Information:
The base salary range for this position varies by location:
- Chicago: $77,000 - $87,000
- New York City: $77,000 - $109,000
- Los Angeles: $77,000 - $102,000
- Washington .: $77,000 - $107,000
- Bay Area: $77,000 - $110,000
