Job Title: Conflict Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform conflict of interest searches for attorneys and staff to determine whether the law firm may accept new clients and matters under prevailing ethical rules, applicable law, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to identify all parties involved in new client engagements, including individuals, groups, governments, and business entities.
- Analyze findings and present results in a timely and organized fashion.
- Conduct research in internal and external databases to identify any additional parties relevant to the conflict assessment, including corporate tree analysis.
- Answer internal calls and respond to inquiries from attorneys and staff regarding the status of new matter engagements and conflict clearance.
- Handle confidential information discreetly and maintain high levels of professionalism.
- Assist in data maintenance projects to ensure the accuracy of the law firm’s conflict system.
- Assist recruiting with lateral hire conflict checks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Prior experience utilizing automated conflicts and/or workflow systems preferred.
- Experience working in a professional or legal office environment is required.
- Strong computer, research, analytical, and proofreading skills are necessary.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to solicit and communicate information effectively and professionally.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with attorneys, clients, and staff and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional manner.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is between $50,000 to $60,000, negotiable based on years of experience.
