Job Title: Managing Director, Payroll Tax
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of comprehensive payroll tax consulting services, which include controversy support, payroll function design and restructuring, and M&A support.
- Collaborate closely with payroll tax compliance and compensation and benefits consulting teams to develop a cohesive solution for payroll tax issues across the company.
- Oversee all components of client projects, including issue identification, scoping, bidding and winning, delivery, and ensuring a positive client experience.
- Assist in creating a short-, mid-, and long-term strategy for building out a payroll tax consulting practice.
- Develop a staffing model and assist in recruiting a team to support the vision for the practice.
- Establish processes to identify and manage client risks related to payroll tax matters.
- Contribute to the development and marketing of payroll tax-related solutions.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and execution in alignment with the company's focus and future of the tax service line.
- Uphold company values and align with the company's mission and long-term vision.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field; 3 years or more of related tax experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: CPA license and/or . / ; 8 or more years of tax experience focused on payroll tax issues.
Salary Information:
- Pursuant to Illinois' Equal Pay Act, the salary range for the Illinois market is displayed. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position.
- IL Minimum Salary (USD): $180,400
- IL Maximum Salary (USD): $380,000
- Non-exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and a half pay for employees that work over 40 hours in a workweek.
- Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), bonuses, profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
