Job Title:
Vice President, Advanced Planning - REMOTE - MN, MO, IL

Job Responsibilities:
The Vice President, Advanced Planning, is a client-facing role responsible for serving as a financial planning and estate planning subject matter authority for high net worth clients and their advisors. Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering point-in-time estate planning guidance and education or leading comprehensive financial and estate planning engagements based on client needs.
- Collaborating with a Director of Advanced Planning and an Advanced Planning Analyst to support client engagements throughout a geographic region.
- Utilizing video technology to function remotely and meeting clients and advisors in investor centers across the region.
- Collaborating within the Advanced Planning team both virtually and in-person to enhance the collective impact on clients.
- Traveling between 5% and 20% of the time, depending on proximity to regional sites and investor centers.
- Residing within commuting distance to an Investor Center in Minnesota, Missouri, or Illinois.

Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required, with preferred designations such as CPA, JD, ., LLM in taxation, CFA, or CFP®.
- 13-15+ years of overall work experience is necessary, with at least 7+ years of experience in trusts and estate planning, income tax planning, or succession planning within a public accounting, law practice, or wealth management industry environment.
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Additional Skills and Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of estate planning, family wealth transfer planning, wills/trusts, income taxation, and trust and estate taxation is required.
- Proficiency in retirement, financial, investment, and insurance planning is preferred.
- Experience working with business owners and start-ups/Pre IPO companies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and lead an assigned territory to drive High Net Worth client engagements.
- Capability to coach, develop, and apply skills to junior team members.
- Effective communication skills for complex subjects and emotional intelligence to connect with clients and their advisors.
- Solution-oriented and client-first work ethic.
- Ability to balance tasks, prioritize work, and maintain efficiency.
- Maintains a positive, professional demeanor with a thoughtful approach to delivering successful customer outcomes.
