Job Title: Cyber Claim Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve Bond & Specialty Insurance (BSI) claims of varying levels of severity with moderate supervision.
- Prepare and present management reports that reflect loss development, financial exposure, reserve adjustments, coverage issues, and claim and recovery strategies.
- Retain, monitor, and manage outside counsel using litigation management plans and budgets.
- Communicate with underwriting on significant claim exposures.
- Identify recovery opportunities and coordinate efforts with Recovery Management Unit and Claim management.
- Attend mediations, settlement conferences, claim conferences, field office visits, trials, and depositions.
- Refine policy interpretation and coverage analysis skills, including drafting coverage opinions with case law.
- Negotiate settlements/resolutions and review releases and settlement agreements, including confidentiality and non-disclosure provisions.
- Support underwriting marketing efforts through broker and account visits, risk mitigation seminars, and authoring customer-focused materials.
- Monitor marketplace conditions, conduct research, and draft reference materials to inform claim and underwriting colleagues on law impacting underwriting and claim decisions.
- Obtain and maintain required adjusters’ licenses.
- Perform other assigned duties.

Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Juris Doctorate Degree.
- Properly licensed, registered, or authorized to practice law in the jurisdiction of employment.
- Minimum of two years of relevant legal experience.
- Five or more years of relevant legal or claim handling work experience is preferred.

Salary Information:
- The annual base salary range for this position is $106, to $175,.
- Salary is determined by factors such as role scope, complexity, location, candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
