Job Title: Associate Attorney – General Liability
Job Responsibilities:
The Associate Attorney will be part of the General Liability Group at the law firm. The primary responsibilities include:
- Defending clients in insurance defense litigation, specifically in areas such as general liability, auto, product liability, premises liability, and construction defects.
- Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Drafting and answering pleadings and discovery documents.
- Taking depositions and effectively handling cases in courtroom settings.
- Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff within the department to ensure comprehensive case management and client representation.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have four to six years of experience in insurance defense litigation. This experience should encompass defending clients in various liability cases, including general liability, auto, product liability, premises liability, and construction defects. The role requires candidates to have:
- Strong analytical and research abilities.
- Proficient written communication skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Practical experience in handling cases, conducting depositions, and participating in courtroom proceedings.
- Admission to practice law in New Jersey is mandatory. Admission in New York and/or Pennsylvania is considered an additional advantage.
