Biotechnology Patent Attorney/Patent Agent The candidate will perform various tasks related to patent prosecution including all aspects of preparing and prosecuting patent applications; conducting examiner interviews; and arranging for patentability, state-of-the-art, infringement, validity searches, or preparing patentability opinions. An advanced degree (.) is optional. Preferred areas of study/work experience include genetics, immunology, cell biology, proteomics, virology, bacteriology, and molecular biology. Strong academic credentials. Registered to practice before the USPTO. Should have 1+ years of substantial recent patent prosecution experience. Must have excellent writing, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with others.
