Job Title: Legal Practice Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, compare, edit, format, and distribute legal documents using MS Office and other software programs.
- Handle administrative tasks such as document preparation, electronic filing, scanning, and preparing mailings and other packages.
- Perform administrative tasks including opening new matters, initiating conflicts checks, entering attorney time, submitting invoices for payment, and collaborating with the Finance Department to process client billing.
- Answer telephones and greet attorney guests.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a law firm is required, with specific experience in real estate and transactional finance.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is necessary.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills with attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as part of a team is required.
- Experience in opening client matters and entering attorney time in LMS or a similar time entry system is preferred.
- Experience coordinating meetings via Zoom is beneficial.
- Familiarity with a document management system, with NetDocs being a plus, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with clients and colleagues are required.

Salary Information:
- The pay range for this position is $75,500 - $108,500. This range is compliant with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay will be determined based on multiple factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.

Physical Demands:
- The employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position or sit for prolonged periods and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Frequently required to perform light work that includes lifting and moving objects up to 10 pounds.
