Job Title: Privacy Counsel (Full Time, Remote Position)

Job Responsibilities:
- Assess client information systems for compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
- Draft data protection agreements, addenda, and amendments.
- Advise clients on privacy-related product improvements.
- Research legal issues and compose legal opinions/memoranda.
- Write privacy law-related articles and blog posts.
- Assist in the development of in-house legal templates.
- Contribute to the development of internal procedures and methodologies.
- Collaborate with a team of intellectual peers who value cooperation and community.

Education and Experience Information:
- Must have a license to practice law (active and in good standing) in your jurisdiction.
- At least four years of work experience as an attorney.
- An interest in privacy and technology.
- Team player interested in contributing to a growing enterprise.
- Strong writing/editing skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Willingness to learn new skills and receive direction and feedback from partners.
- Willingness to pursue privacy certifications (., CIPP/E, CIPM).

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous contract drafting and negotiation experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience/training in privacy law.
- Privacy certifications (., CIPP/E, CIPP/US, specialty from law school).
- Professional involvement in the privacy and/or data security space (., attendance at privacy conferences, membership, or publication in the IAPP).
