Job Title: Records Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and charge out records in the records database, ensuring proper delivery of charged out files.
- Pick up and deliver records, managing re-files going to the records room or off-site storage as necessary, and re-shelve returned active files.
- Order records, files, and boxes from an offsite storage vendor to maintain an efficient records management process.
- Maintain storage records and track "re-files" sent back to the offsite storage vendor, ensuring accurate record-keeping and organization.
- Ensure equal distribution and accurate organization of records in the central records room, which includes physically shifting and moving folders, redwelds, and boxes as needed for retrieval and basic records center maintenance.
- Organize and maintain files and boxed records in numerical order within the law firm's open client-record storage, entering applicable location information into the records database.
- Process large client cases for closing, which involves reviewing records to ensure proper organization and entering information into the records database.
Education and Experience Information:
- A one-year certificate from a college or technical school, or one to two years of clerical records management experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience in a law firm setting is preferred, highlighting the importance of familiarity with legal environments and procedures.
- Strong customer service skills are essential, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Exceptional administrative and organizational abilities are necessary, with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in records management.
Salary Information:
- Minimum salary: USD $36,
- Maximum salary: USD $55,
