Job Title: Insurance Coverage Associate

Job Responsibilities:

- Analyze first-party insurance policies and draft coverage opinions while providing coverage advice to insurance company clients.
- Assist in federal and state litigation, including declaratory judgment actions initiated by insurer clients and defending insurer clients in litigation filed by policyholders.
- Draft pleadings, motions with supporting briefs, and mediation statements.
- Correspond with opposing counsel, other parties, clients, experts/consultants, and the court.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
- Draft discovery requests and prepare subpoenas.
- Review document collections received from parties and third parties in litigation and manage document productions on behalf of clients and consultants.
- Take and defend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
- Assist in locating and managing experts and consultants.

Education and Experience:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice in Texas.
- Essential experience in insurance coverage and first-party property/bad faith.
- Required litigation experience.
