## Introduction The Matian Firm, APC is looking for an Immigration Paralegal to join their growing legal team in Orange County. This paralegal will participate in all aspects of their Immigration practice, including assisting in the management of client relationships, case review, analysis, preparation and filing non-immigrant petitions. Read on to learn more about this exciting opportunity. ## Job Description The Matian Firm is searching for an Immigration Paralegal to join their legal team in Orange County. This position will report directly to the Legal Department Supervisor and will have a legal knowledge of immigration-related laws. The successful candidate must have a client-service attitude with excellent case management skills. The Immigration Paralegal will participate in all aspects of the firm's Immigration practice, including assisting in the management of client relationships, case review, analysis, preparation and filing non-immigrant petitions. ## Responsibilities The Immigration Paralegal will be responsible for: - Analyzing case documents and preparing immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency - Communicating with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural and case processing issues, assisting with the review of cases - Overseeing the status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems - Following internal intake procedures after a client retains the firm - Making regular updates to the case management system including client information, case tracking information, and client communications - Maintaining hard copy files and documents to support all immigration activity on behalf of clients - Ensuring that clients are kept informed on the progress of their cases - Assisting attorneys and other team members to manage caseload - Completing assignments and communicating case progress/status/issues to supervisors ## Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position should have: - At least 1-2 years of Immigration Law experience - Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required - Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field - Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications - Experience with Case Management Software ## Benefits The Matian Firm, APC offers a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits.
