Overview:

We are a leading law firm seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Docketing Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will work closely with our eDiscovery and Paralegal Services Director to ensure accurate and timely docketing of patent-related deadlines and information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in docketing databases, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities:

Review incoming USPTO and foreign associate correspondence for deadlines on a daily basis
Enter relevant information into the docketing database and report and save mail to client workspace within one day
Enter new records from newly-filed patent applications into the docketing database and confirm filing package is filed in the docketing workspace
De-docket actions from newly-filed responses and other follow-on documents and complete related tasks as necessary
Enter bar dates and target filing dates into the docketing database using information from matter emails
Check and correct data and deadlines in the docketing database for accuracy
Enter assignment data into the docketing database
Assist with final email reminders, download, report, and docket daily PAIR correspondence
Process attorney reassignments, scan, report, and docket PCT mail
Enter transfer information and deadlines into the docketing database for transfers in and out
Prepare reports from the docketing database as requested
Stay up-to-date on . and foreign patent rules and proposed rule changes
Generate reports as needed

Requirements:


Minimum of 1 year of experience in computerized docket databases
Familiarity with federal, state, and local Intellectual Property laws and regulations
Knowledge of docketing software
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task
Client service focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Physical activity may be required
