Labor & Employment Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The Labor & Employment Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling employment law matters, particularly focusing on employment litigation. This includes managing single plaintiff employment claims, as well as PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA matters. The role involves extensive client contact, interaction with governmental agencies, and opposing counsel. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings
- Drafting and arguing motions
- Taking and defending depositions
- Providing legal counsel and guidance on employment law issues
- Participating in all aspects of labor and employment law within the firm’s practice
- Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience Information:
- Admission to practice law in California is required
- A minimum of one (1) to seven (7) years of experience in employment law matters is necessary
- Experience in employment litigation, preferably on the management side, is required
- Experience in employment counseling or in-house employment law is preferred
- Strong writing and analytical skills are essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary Information:
The salary range for the position is between USD $145, and USD $200, per year. In addition to competitive compensation, the law firm offers a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with employer contribution, and a bonus for those who meet their minimum hourly requirement.
