Job Title: Creditors' Rights Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of commercial and consumer bankruptcy and collections
- Familiarity with foreclosures and other related Creditors' Rights matters
- Draft, e-file, and serve legal documents
- Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal court rules, systems, and statutory deadlines
- Manage detailed case flow and docket all aspects of cases
- Confer with Clerks, Court Administrators, Sheriff's Departments, and involved parties
- Monitor and manage electronic filing systems, service, and schedules
- Maintain electronic and physical files
- Follow up to ensure all required actions are completed
- Perform all paralegal functions under the supervision of an attorney and paralegal supervisor
Education and Experience Information:
- At least two to three years' experience in handling all aspects of commercial and consumer bankruptcy, collections, and foreclosures
- An Associate's Degree in Paralegal Technology is preferred
- Work experience may be substituted for education
- Must have a NC Notary Public or the ability to obtain the same
Salary Information:
- Generous sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for direct hires
Additional Information:
- Successful candidates may have the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week following a successful initial training period of no less than six months
