Overview of Business Development Manager Role:
- Trusted advisor to Practice Group Leaders and other partners with BD responsibilities
- Provide strategic, commercial, and practical support to implement litigation & enforcement practice group's priorities
- Collaborate with lead partners and colleagues to develop and execute business development and marketing efforts
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business and client development strategy for litigation & enforcement practice group
- Identify and pursue new clients through in-depth understanding of the practice group's ambitions
- Manage and develop existing client relationships through business development meetings and proactively driving follow-up
- Become expert in the practice group through business research and intelligence gathering
- Lead pitches, proposals, and RFPs, including developing winning strategies and identifying ways to differentiate from competition
- Work with finance to develop compelling fee arrangements
- Maintain up-to-date pitch content, materials, and client information
- Act as a trusted advisor to partners in scoping, preparing for meetings and pitches, and providing post-pitch feedback
- Identify opportunities for integrated branding and profile-raising campaigns
- Assess conference opportunities and advise partners on selection and participation
- Identify appropriate targets for knowledge marketing
- Manage junior members of the business development team
- Build knowledge of adjacent practice and industry groups and their strategies, priorities, and clients
- Communicate best practices and successes across the group

Qualifications:

- Professional experience, including management of direct reports
- Minimum of eight years of experience in business development within a professional services firm
- Demonstrated knowledge of litigation and enforcement practice areas, including antitrust, preferred
Compensation and Total Rewards Package:

- Anticipated pay range of $142,500 - $228,050 for Boston and Washington, . locations
