Job Title: Collections Counsel
Job Responsibilities:
The Collections Counsel will be responsible for a range of duties that include conducting legal and factual analysis related to judgment enforcement and collections. This role demands the development and execution of strategies aimed at pursuing debtors, their assets, and collecting judgments. The Counsel will work closely with legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to meet strategic goals and will coordinate with outside counsel and consultants as necessary to ensure effective execution of collections and enforcement activities.
Education and Experience Information:
A Juris Doctorate (JD) is required for the position of Collections Counsel. The candidate must have a minimum of seven years of experience in enforcing judgments, with a preference for those admitted to practice in New York or Florida. Experience in the commercial real estate sector is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to reason effectively. Creativity, persistence, and a goal-oriented mindset are essential, along with strong communication skills for interacting with both internal and external contacts. A team-focused, collaborative approach is important, as well as strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Salary Information:
The position of Collections Counsel at the company offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus. The starting base salary range is between $200,000 and $250,000. The specific compensation offered will be based on an evaluation of the hired candidate's qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is based on work performance reviewed during the course of the year. The total compensation package includes a full range of medical benefits, other benefits such as 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off benefits.
