Job Title: Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist at the law firm will be responsible for a variety of duties related to the processing and management of accounts payable. These responsibilities include:

- Reviewing and processing vendor invoices for payment to ensure they are accurate and comply with company policies.
- Reviewing and processing expense reimbursements to ensure compliance with the Expense Reimbursement policy.
- Handling daily urgent payment requests to ensure timely processing.
- Responding to vendor inquiries regarding invoice and payment statuses, providing clear and accurate information.
- Researching and following up with internal staff regarding past due invoices to facilitate timely payments.
- Verifying issued payments to ensure they match the vendor and invoice information.
- Processing and replenishing prepaid accounts, such as those with the USPTO, Copyright, and Secretary of State.
- Coordinating monthly recurring payments, including rent, lease, and capital buy-out.
- Obtaining necessary approvals for payments from designated payment approvers.
- Processing manual checks issued from various offices as needed.
- Ordering cashier’s checks and bank drafts upon request.
- Acting as a backup for the Accounts Payable Supervisor during their absence.
- Performing other related duties and projects as assigned to support the department.

Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist position will possess the following qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, which provides a foundational understanding of financial principles and practices.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting is required, demonstrating the candidate's ability to handle the responsibilities of the position effectively.
- Experience with automated accounting systems and/or Aderant is considered a plus, indicating familiarity with industry-standard tools and software.

Salary Information:
The anticipated salary range for the Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist position at the law firm is between $60,000 and $85,500. The actual base salary offered may vary based on several factors, including the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location from which the applicant will be performing the job.

In addition to the base salary, the law firm offers a comprehensive benefits program to eligible employees, which includes plans such as Healthcare, Life Insurance, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Wellbeing. A discretionary bonus may also be available for eligible employees based on performance.
