H2: Essential Duties and Qualifications for the IP Research Librarian Position:
- Provide reference and research services to lawyers, paralegals, and support staff at a top law firm
- Conduct independent research and related projects
- Commitment to providing superior service to clients and producing quality work product
- Perform in-depth and complex intellectual property reference and research duties
- Respond to user requests for information from internal and external resources
- Utilize databases such as PatDocs, PatBase, Dialog ProQuest and Clarivate, STN and Derwent Innovation
- Master's degree or STEM degree with concentration on bioscience required
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in gene sequencing, prior art searching, and other related tasks
- Familiarity with complex search strategies and determination of patent family relations and legal status
