Job Title: Associate Attorney - General Litigation
Job Responsibilities:
The Associate Attorney in the general litigation practice group will be responsible for managing an assigned caseload, which includes personal injury, premises liability, and professional liability cases. The role involves drafting pleadings, engaging in motion practice, conducting written discovery, and taking depositions. The attorney will appear in court and play key roles at trial, working closely with a supervising partner. The position requires multitasking and managing multiple deadlines, producing high-quality legal work, and proactively taking ownership of projects and assignments. The associate will work in a collaborative team environment, drafting briefs and discovery material, and engaging in advocacy with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have a current, active license to practice law in Texas. Experience in civil litigation is necessary, including drafting pleadings, motion practice, written discovery, and depositions. The position requires excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills. A proven ability to produce top-quality work and a willingness to be proactive and take ownership of projects are essential.
Salary Information:
The position offers competitive compensation with opportunities for bonuses and credit for business origination. The exact salary is dependent on experience (DOE).
