Responsibilities:
- Monitor state insurance laws, regulations, and bulletins and take action to ensure legal compliance
- Review and draft policy forms, endorsements, notices, and other legal correspondence for adherence to state insurance laws and regulations
- Submit regulatory filings to state insurance departments
- Act as a liaison with internal and external partners
- Research and analyze legal and regulatory materials to respond to internal and external requests
- Evaluate alternatives to maintain compliance while meeting business goals
- Participate in product development
- Oversee complaint, market conduct exam, and audit activities
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and regulators
- Provide guidance and coaching related to regulatory compliance
- Assist manager and team members as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Sr. Regulatory Compliance Analyst or a Bachelor's/Paralegal degree
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and committed to meeting deadlines and service standards
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels and various departments
- Able to manage concurrent projects
- Flexible and detail-oriented
- Desire for continuous improvement
- Experience with legal/regulatory issues and research preferred
- Experience in Personal Lines Insurance and ISO preferred
