Are you a skilled Document Specialist looking for a new opportunity? Look no further! Cooley, a leading law firm, is seeking a Document Specialist to join our Document Processing team. With locations in San Diego, New York, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Chicago, Palo Alto, Washington DC, Boston, Colorado, San Francisco, and Reston, we have a variety of options for you to choose from.
As a Document Specialist at Cooley, you will be responsible for providing document production and processing support. This includes creating and revising documents in various Microsoft Office applications, converting documents to and from different file formats, proofreading for accuracy, troubleshooting software issues, and more. You will work with a team of other document processing specialists and proofreaders to ensure the highest level of customer service and quality.
If you have a minimum of 1 year of document processing experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications, we want to hear from you! We are looking for candidates who are able to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed. Legal document processing experience is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and revise documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Convert documents to and from various file formats
- Proofread for accuracy
- Troubleshoot software issues
- Work with team members across multiple locations and time zones
- Prioritize and meet strict deadlines
- Log work and cost recovery information
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of document processing experience (1+ year for Document Specialist I, 5+ years for Document Specialist II)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, Visio, Acrobat, and other firm applications
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- General understanding of personal computers
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Excellent command of the English language
- Familiarity with legal terminology and document formats
- Reliable and punctual
Salary Information:
- Expected hourly pay range: - ($72, - $117, annually)
- Final offer amount dependent on geographic location, experience, and skillset
